Installation & first run

System requirements

• Windows [10 / 11], 64-bit
• AutoCAD [list supported versions] — running and COM-automatable. [BricsCAD / ZWCAD: to be confirmed.]
• [RAM / disk] — [fill in]
• Internet access for license activation (occasional; offline grace period afterwards — see Licensing)

Install

• Download the installer from [link / from your trial email]
• Run it (it is code-signed — [note about Windows SmartScreen if relevant])
• [Install location, Start-menu shortcut, etc.]

First run

TODO:

• Start AutoCAD and open (or create) a drawing
• Launch PlateDesignTools — a compact companion window opens beside AutoCAD
• The header shows the connected drawing name and AutoCAD version
• Enter your license key when prompted (or start the 30-day trial) — see Licensing & trial
• Optional: open Settings (⚙) and pick/create a profile matching your shop's layers and defaults — see Settings profiles

Uninstall

TODO: [Windows Apps & features → PlateDesignTools → Uninstall. Note what's left behind: profiles/logs under %LOCALAPPDATA%/PlateDesignTools/.]
