Troubleshooting & logs

[One line: if something goes wrong, here's how to recover — and what to send us if it doesn't.]

The AutoCAD connection

TODO: [PlateDesignTools talks to a running AutoCAD via COM. What "no drawing connected" means; what to do if AutoCAD was closed or restarted (re-connect from the header); behaviour if the COM link drops mid-operation; multiple AutoCAD instances.]

Common problems

TODO:

The log file

TODO: [Rotating log at %LOCALAPPDATA%/PlateDesignTools/logs/app.log. Uncaught errors are logged there. WARNING-level messages also show in the status strip.]

Getting help

TODO: [Email hello@testfixturecad.com with: what you were doing, the error message, the AutoCAD version, and the log file. We respond to every message.]
